As a Trust we invest in the long term health of the natural world. It makes total sense for our buildings to follow the same principals with a Fabric First Approach

Introduction
Exciting Restoration now underway at Pierrepoint Farm
We are thrilled to announce that the restoration of the Grade 2 listed grain barns at Pierrepoint Farm near Frensham has now begun! These historic buildings, currently in a dilapidated state, are being brought back to life by our wonderful clients, The Countryside Restoration Trust. They have successfully raised the funds to transform the barns into a series of flexible work units designed for creative small businesses.
The wider site, home to former dairy farm, already hosts a local cheesemaker, a microbrewery, a traditional chair maker, and well-known furniture restorers. We are excited to see the Pierrepoint Farm community continue to grow and diversify once the project is completed.
The design of the studio spaces is purposefully simple, with a strong focus on a Fabric First approach. The interiors will feature hemp blocks and lime plaster, paired with a timber-fibre highly insulated roof and air-source heat pumps to deliver space heating. This approach reflects the Trust’s commitment to sustainability, creating a low-impact, energy-efficient project that aligns with their environmental values.
We look forward to sharing more updates and progress over the coming year.
